Attitude Adjustment

When I came home from work today I found myself making sure I had a smile as I walked to the door.
I’ve been doing that for years, not wanting to bring negative…energy or something from my day inside with me.
My wife had enough going on for me to bring more.
I caught myself as I was reaching to unlock the door. There was no one inside waiting. No one to try to cheer up with a smile.
Do I want to unlearn this? Would it make it hurt less if I entered with a frown?
