Peyton

July 25 was my Peyton’s last day.
She was 14 and having a tough time getting around.
Ever since our other dog, Teddy, died in January she has been slowing down.
Walks were very seldom the same, her vision was getting worse and her hips were obviously painful.
Up till last week she was eating and stuff ( but growing more picky) , but this past weekend she started refusing the last best treats we had to hide pills.
A couple of hurry up vet visits, and some counseling by pain specialists.
They knew my story. I didn’t want her to go so soon.
I chose peace for her rather than pain to give me more time with her.
It hurt me to see her struggle.
I may get another dog after I retire. They are a significant responsibility.
